Beach Day! πŸ–

Whilst I’ve been in Devon, I thought I’d share what we’ve been up to and some cool places to go and see. There’s so many things to do and since I’m with my younger siblings, I’ll be listing lots of family friendly places too! My first post is about Broadsands Beach.

Broadsands is a fabulous beach in between Paignton and Brixham, only a short drive from Torquay. It is a beautiful long sandy beach with a range of facilities including the cafΓ©/restaurant, beach hut hire, deckchair hire, boat hire, car parking, toilets and beach showers.

At low tide the rock pools are exposed at the southern end of the beach and there is a large area of parkland directly behind the beach – the perfect spot for a game of football or cricket.

The long promenade provides a level walk to both ends of the beach and has brightly colourful beach huts that you can hire out for the day – cute!

We really enjoy coming here, it’s a popular beach in peak season but big enough to accommodate a large amount of people without being squashed in. As the tide goes out there’s room for everyone, whether they’re shell picking, body boarding or sunbathing. You can even watch the steam train going by in the cliffs! It’s a wonderful day out and great fun for the whole family.

A beautiful view of the beach from the steam train, you can really see how broad the beach is (hence the name). I love the rows of beach huts along it, almost makes me feel like I’m visiting a different era.

My little brothers had “seaweed fights”, this is the youngest seeing how slimy it was.

Can you see the train in the hills? It usually toots it’s horn as it goes by and everyone waves! So adorable.

So that’s it for this post!

Thanks for reading β™‘
