I’m currently obsessed with lemon water, I’ve been drinking a tonne of it each morning after realising how many amazing benefits it has on your body. Not only that, the zesty smell and flavour is fab for helping you to wake up and feel fresh – especially if you’re trying to avoid caffeine.

Drinking warm lemon water first thing in the morning gives the body a chance to absorb vitamins effectively and can provide a little immune boost. Lemons are full of vitamin C, which is needed for collagen production for smooth, healthy skin. So not only will it flush your body of nasty toxins and improve your digestion, but will also give you happy skin! – as well as jumpstarting that metabolism in the morning. What’s not to love?!

Just one glass of this per day makes me feel so much healthier (sounds stupid I know) but it stops me from feeling sluggish and really helps me to focus on how much water I drink. It’s also great at curbing my sweet tooth cravings which is a massive bonus for me – it’s so hard to stay healthy working in a bakery shop!

It might take a bit of getting used to, but why not give it a try? You might find that you enjoy it – if not try adding lemon slices to green tea with a small dash of honey to balance out the sour taste.
