November Birchbox 2017

Hi everyone! Today’s post as you can see, is about my recent subscription to Birchbox. November gifted me my second box and I’m pretty impressed with the contents.

This months theme was a collaboration with VOGUE! Each item was handpicked from their Top 100 Beauty Hall of Fame, the very best products that the beauty industry has to offer. Very fancy! It even included a complementary voucher for 6 issues of VOGUE in print or via iPad and phone.

My first product was a miniature Hoola compact by Benefit Cosmetics. I already have this in full size and absolutely love it! I use it daily! It’s a perfect bronzing powder that’s completely matte, no shimmer or shine, so can be used for that all important contouring. I love how versatile it is, one day it’s my contour, the next it’s part of my eyeshadow. I love sweeping this over areas the sun would usually get, e.g. the very top of my forehead. It gives a natural looking sun kissed look. I’m pretty sure every subscriber got this product this month!

The next product is this Percy & Reed Smoothed, Sealed & Sensational Volumising No Oil, Oil. It does exactly what a hair oil should without leaving that sticky feeling residue. It’s designed to nourish dry, tired hair, plus the added provitamins B5 helps to strengthen those strands against any breakage. There is also violet extract for added oomph and it protects against heat styling! An all round good product really, I’ve loved using this so far and knowing that I can put on that bit extra without looking like a greasy chip pan really makes me want to purchase a full size version of this product.

I’m really quite intrigued by this next product by James Read. It’s their Gradual Tan – Sleep Mask Tan Face cream and I’ve got to say, I love the idea of this! It’s a clever little hydrating night cream that gives a gradual, natural tan for your face. Great for someone like me, who’s face never tans, no matter how long I’ve been in the sun. I’ve only used it a couple of times so far, but I’m already loving it. Obviously I didn’t notice a great difference in the colour of my skin, it’s a colour that builds with time and use! It smells good and goes on smooth and clear, so no bronze lines to wake up to where it’s not been rubbed in enough.

My favourite product from this months box is probably this Birchbox Brush Cleaner! I love the shape, size and colour of this! Such a handy beauty must have, I love that it’s flexi and has a gap for your fingers to hold it inside. I’d have never thought of buying this for myself, thanks to Birchbox I don’t have to! I’m loving this that much that I’ll be buying a couple of my girlfriends the same for their Christmas stocking fillers. So good for travel purposes too! I just squirt a good amount of face wash or brush cleanser onto the pad and swish my wet brushes around until all the muck is removed, rinse and leave to air dry. FAB!

The last product I received in the VOGUE box was this clear top coat nail varnish by Seche Vite. It’s actually an amazing varnish that really does help to stop chipping. I love how fast it drys and apparently it penetrates through your polish to form a solid, long lasting seal to your manicure. No wonder it’s made VOGUE’s Top 100 Beauty Products list! Other than the brush cleaner, it’s the only full size product this month.

So there you have it! My November Birchbox review! Overall I think I’m a lot more impressed with this box compared to my first one last month. It’s full of products I will 100% use and enjoy.

Don’t forget to choose your own full size lip product in Decembers box! A choice between LOC’s classic party red lipstick or Pixi’s shea butter rose natural tint balm – I chose the balm as I have far too many red lippys.

I hope you enjoyed this post!

What did you get from your Birchbox this month?
