Hello Lovely Readers!
I seriously cannot believe that Christmas is only 33 days away! THIRTY THREE DAYS! With just over a month to go until the most wonderful time of the year, I thought I’d do a little post dedicated to all those amazing Harry Potter fans out there. Lets face it, if you’re not one, you all know one. So if you’re struggling to find a gift for an avid Potter fanatic, or even if you need ideas for you from others, then continue reading!
NOTE: Before buying anything that it Hogwarts house related, please find out the specific house your friend is in – Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw or Slytherin. I’m a Hufflepuff.
I absolutely adore the house scarves – the second it starts to get cold, I put on my Gryffindor scarf and I wear it almost every single day until it begins to get warm again. Yes I said Gryffindor – I found out I was in Hufflepuff after I brought this and have already asked for the Hufflepuff version for Christmas! You can find the house scarves in several shops, however the best place to get them from is the Warner Bros Harry Potter Studio Tour – they’re the best quality scarves that I’ve seen and you can’t really beat legit items. You can order yours online here. By the way – they look 100% better in person!
Harry Potter Primark range
I am in love with so much stuff from the Harry Potter range in Primark, it is affordable and pretty decent and great for gifts. There are so many things that I could recommend from here, so I’m just going to say that any Potter fan would honestly love anything out of the new range – there is just so much to choose from! My fave items are the pjs and dressing gowns, the house bunting, potion lights, Hogwarts cushions and blankets and super adorable baby clothes! Unfortunately Primark isn’t available everywhere and even more unfortunately, they don’t deliver so this part is just for people that have access to Primark. I’m so sad because my two local Primarks don’t sell much of the Potter products and I’m dying to get my hands on these amazing glitter baubles!
Harry Potter Jewellery
Jewellery is always a great gift idea, especially when it comes to Harry Potter inspired jewellery! There are endless amounts available all over the internet, whether you buy from the Warner Bros Shop or from Amazon, you’ll find a fab piece. I love that jewellery can be as much of a statement as you want it to be, for me I prefer delicate, dainty jewellery. It’s an amazing gift idea for people wanting something Potter inspired that they can wear subtly everyday. I love the watch!
Illustrated editions of Harry Potter books & Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them
I absolutely LOVE the illustrated editions of the books – especially the Harry Potter ones. The illustrations are so beautifully detailed, for someone who sketches like me and has read the series a couple of times, I think these books would be an amazing present. They’re so lovely to read and look through, the illustrations really bring the book to life and give it a sense of magic.
In the UK, they are for sale at most large supermarkets and bookstores such as Waterstones. Don’t worry if you’re not from here as there are many ways to get your hands on these, just look online!
Notebooks and Stationary
So I’m one of those girls who loves all things stationary, send me to Paperchase and I’ll be in there hours. Any type of notebook or special pen and I’m in love. I have far more notebooks than I need but when they’re Harry Potter or Fantastic Beasts related I don’t think you can have enough. Even the colouring books are a good idea! They’re great for Christmas presents, especially for teens in school. You can literally buy them everywhere at the moment, if you want to get a little more personal, my favourite online store is Etsy. Many items are handmade and they sell thousands of different types of gifts.
Glasses, Cups and Mugs
As a big coffee drinker, I like to have a perfect mug to sip my morning brew from. Incredibly, I don’t actually own a Harry Potter mug, but I do know that there are some great mugs out there! They really do make great Christmas presents too, even for the younger Potter fans! There are also some great Hogwarts glasses, whether you prefer shot glasses or colour changing goblets, there’s drinkware choices for everyone.
Chocolate and Sweets
Sweet treats are always a great stocking filler, especially Harry Potter ones! Chocolate frogs and Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans are a must for your Potter Head! So many sweet shops and online retailers sell these and even do Harry Potter food hampers. You can also find them in the Warner Bros Studio Shop.
Artwork and Prints
Ok, you guys already know I’m a home accessory lover. Anything artistic – I’m in love. I especially love the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts artwork, prints and film production drawings. They’re such an amazing gift for anyone into the series and can suit all budgets. Again, one of my favourite websites for Harry Potter wall art has to be Etsy, you can choose from thousands and even get items personalised. My favourites have to be the retro prints featuring different places as if they’re holiday destinations within the wizarding world!
Clothing, Accessories and Other Bits and Bobs
Less obvious choices for your HP fan could be thing like the subtle tshirts with quotes that only other fans would understand. Pin badges of certain characters, bags with a smaller Hogwarts logo or in the house colours. Even things like Harry Potter phone cases and key rings! I swear, the majority of fans will love anything you give them. For anyone reading this thinking “hmmm what can I get you that Harry Potter related” – I really want a Butterbeer scented candle, look on Etsy! Hehe!
So, that pretty much concludes my Harry Potter Christmas gift guide. I hope you’ve found this useful enough and hopefully you’ll have some inspiration for gifts!
Are you as obsessed with Harry Potter as I am? I’d love to know if you’ve asked for any of these things for Christmas or if you’ve brought any for other people.
Just remember, the possibilities are endless when buying gifts for the Potter Fan in your life. You don’t have to spend a fortune for us to appreciate anything to do with this magical world we can only dream to live in.
See you in the next post!
