November Outlook 2017

novfaves.png

So the temperature has already dropped below zero, we’ve actually had snow for one whole hour and it’s only 28 days until Christmas. November so far for me has treated me well, I have been lucky enough to have a lot of products and experiences that I have really loved this month. Despite it being the busiest, and most expensive month of the year!

The Christmas Works Party

Although it didn’t go to plan, I actually really enjoyed the Christmas work party. The food was lovely and the company was great, we all had a pretty good laugh and it’s definitely kick started my Christmas spirit. Unfortunately I don’t actually have many photos of that night other than a few selfies with Myles. I didn’t even manage to get a full outfit photo!

Mini Trip to York

We’ve booked a mini trip this month to visit the beautiful city of York. We’re going this weekend (December 2nd – December 3rd) after I finish work on the Saturday, I absolutely cannot wait to go. It looks so Christmassy and such a picturesque place to be, I can’t wait to go! It’s been on my bucket list for ages, including on my December bucket list which, after Sunday, I will be able to tick off. Keep your eyes peeled for posts about our visit!

Beauty

I’m so in love with my Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons eyeshadow palette at the minute! I brought it a while ago and haven’t used it much until this past month. Every chance I get, I like to experiment with different eye looks. My fave colours include almond truffle, cashew chew, pecan praline, mocha, cafe au lait and satin sheets! If you didn’t already know – it’s also a fave because it smells of chocolate! 😍

I also love O.P.I nail varnish, my ultimate fave is this incredibly pale pink shade from the Hello Kitty collection, called “Let’s Be Friends”. It’s such a classy looking colour, especially with a tan. I do love white/off white toes.

Food I’ve been cooking a lot of winter recipes recently, my mum always gives me great ideas, including butternut squash, coconut and chilli soup. It’s my ultimate favourite food right now, especially with crusty, nutty bread from my bakery.

Myles took me to Miller & Carter this month for a cute little date night after I had a bad day at work. He booked ahead and we had a really nice time, the food was awesome – we both really enjoyed sirloin steak and sweet potato fries. I had a cocktail too “after eight-thirty” which was to die for. It was like drinking an after eight chocolate made with baileys.

I also went Christmas shopping with my nan this month in Nottingham. We had a beautiful lunch at a popular French restaurant called La Bistrot Pierre. I was most impressed with pudding – we both had apple and rhubarb crumble topped with a dollop of vanilla ice cream. It was so delicious and comforting, a proper winter feel to it.

Bonfire Night I absolutely love fireworks, so naturally I went to two firework displays on bonfire weekend. Both were at local pubs and both were fabulous. It was great to see so many people I know too, including the lovely Samantha who I’ve known for years! Visit her blog here.

Shopping As you can probably already tell, I am a huge shopaholic, but I have a great excuse as Christmas is round the corner and I have to buy gifts! I’ve brought so many people scented candles this year, including gifts to me from me of course! I love a scented candle, they feel so homely and welcoming, it’s that sense of hygge again. I’ve been buying them for other people but I love them too much and ended up keeping half for myself. Oops! Then after keeping them, I’m way too sentimental to burn them. I just love to look at them and smell them, yes I know how crazy that sounds. I often go to TK Maxx and buy two of the same candles (one to look good and one to burn – I know I’m sorry I’m weird) I love the fact that there are only limited quantities as it makes them even more special to me. I recently brought this adorable silver angel tea light holder from the same store – I am in love! Click here for my latest shopping haul post to see what other goodies I’ve been buying.

How has your November been? What have you been favouring this month?

Until next time,

Charlie x
