Christmas Questions Tag

Hi everyone,

The Christmas Questions tag is going around at the moment and I wanted to fill it out with my answers. If you would like to do this with me, why not join in the fun and let me know your answers in the comments below. Or alternatively, write out your own question post, don’t forget to tag me though so I can compare answers!

What is your favourite Christmas Movie?

Ooooh this is hard! My fave is probably Elf – just because it’s so light hearted and funny! It’s a proper family favourite and even the kids will sit through it. It’s a very very close tie with the first two Home Alone movies though, I do love little Kevin! I actually have a list of my fave Christmas films, check them out here!

Do you have a favourite Christmas song?

Ok I have a few, but my ultimate fave is The Pogues – “Fairytale Of New York”

When do you put up your Christmas tree?

On the 1st of December, it takes so much effort to put it up, I want it all up for as long as possible. Plus it means I can see what I’ve got and still pick up a few decs whilst Christmas shopping, to add to it.

Do you peek at gifts or do you like a surprise?

I always try my hardest wait until Christmas day to open presents (I think this is because I know my mother would slap my wrists and tell me I’m ruining Christmas if I peeked!). I do love waking up to nice surprises though and not knowing what I’ve got. Even though it kills me to wait!

Who would you like to kiss under the mistletoe?

Bradley Cooper Myles of course! 😘

Do you have any Christmas traditions?<

I have a list as long as my arm! That I actually wrote a post about – here we are self promoting again. My favourite has to be Christmas Eve and opening the Christmas Eve box. I actually prefer Christmas Eve to Christmas Day! Even though I’m usually working 4am-5pm. But I just love the buzz in the house, everyone’s excited, we all cosy up in our jammies and watch the Christmas films, proper family time.

What will you be wearing on Christmas day?

. This year is my first year with Myles and he has persuaded me into wearing a Christmas jumper to our meal. Probably with some comfy smart trousers and some loafers.

What does Christmas day look like for you?

. Wake up about 6am. Put the kettle on, coffee’s and a glass of Buck’s Fizz, film the kids coming into the sitting room to see their prezzies from Santa, open our presents, eat breakfast(if we decide to have it) get ready and go to the pud for our Christmas lunch. Afterwards, we go to my nans house for more present opening, some buffet style food and picking at chocolate and treats, drink alcoholic beverages and then pile the car up and drive home, pjs and fall asleep. A busy day! I can’t wait to have kids of my own – it’s gonna be a PJ day! If anyone wants to see us, they can come to us! One reason I dislike Christmas Day is because of the travelling around.

Have you ever had any Christmas day disasters?

. Hmmmmmm … not off the top of my head. The cat ate the blancmange once…

What would you like for Christmas?

. All I can remember asking for is a hand-held hoover and a necklace. I really just want stuff for the house if anything, although I’m happy just spending time with the family and making memories more than anything.

What has been your highlight of 2017?

. Moving in with the love of my life and making more memories each and every day ❀️

Will you be making any resolutions for 2018? Of course! Don’t worry – I will be sharing my goals for 2018, watch this space!

Let me know what you think! Happy Blogmas!

Love Charlie x
