March Birchbox Reveal

Hello lovelies!

Can you believe that it’s March already? The beginning of a new month can only mean one thing – Birchbox time! This is by far my favourite design, I love the mandala pattern and the colours remind me of the sea, which is fitting as the beginning of March is all about Pisces – which includes me of course!

The theme for this month is all about the importance of ‘me time’ and the art of self care, think mindfulness and being fully in the moment. I love the meaning behind the making up of this box, sitting back and relaxing with some pamper treats, what better way to pull free from the pressure of striving for perfection. Everything that was received this month is designed to help you to look and feel great in your own skin. Here’s what I found in my box…

BLAQ | Hydrogel Eye Masks

Late nights and a few too many cheeky vinos can have our eyes looking not so fresh and ready for the day. These activated charcoal eye masks by BLAQ really help to de-puff, detox and get back to your gorgeous, wide awake self. I was a bit skeptical about these and thought no way would they work, especially after my birthday weekend which inlcuded a lot of gin and very little sleep. However, this morning I was pleasantly surprised, as these little beauties do work to some extent. They really helped to get rid of my dark circles and I did find that my eyes seemed less puffy too! I could actually re-purchase these, they retail at £22 for a box of 5 sets which is a little steep, but probably worth it if you have an event coming up.

Benefit | BADgal BANG! Volumising Mascara

I absolutely LOVE Benefit’s Roller Lash mascara so when I found out we’d be receiving BADgal in this months box, I was ecstatic! I tell you what, I bloody love it! It’s a super lightweight formula that is so surprising as it really is a great volumising mascara! The brush is very similar to the Roller Lash mascara, is coats all your lashes perfectly, even those fiddly teeny ones in the inner and outer corners. This product claims to last up to 36 hours, I really don’t think I will ever have to wear mascara for that long, but it’s nice to know that it is long-lasting. The full size product retails at £21.50, it is a little steep for a mascara, but only the same as what I pay for mine now! you just can’t beat long, separated, lush-looking lashes for that wide awake look!

Manna Kadar Cosmetics | Radiance Split Pan Bronzer And Highlighter Duo

I do quite like this little cheek shimmer duo, it’s a great size for travelling or to pop in your clutch bag. Any product that features a two in one package is a hit for me, I hate carrying round so many little tubs, pots and tubes! With both sides being shimmer products, they are great for the summer months, giving you a lovely healthy glowthat really matches my pale skin tone. I also love a product with versatility, grab yourself a big fluffy brush and buff that bronzer all over the high points of your face for a sunkissed glow, or just dust lightly in the contours of your cheekbones for that sculpted effect! A quick sweep of highlighter across your cheek completes the fresh-faced look. This is a full sized Birchbox exclusive retailing at £17, I feel like this is a little steep for the size and therefore, would not repurchase it. I will enjoy it whilst it lasts though!

Sebamed | Clear Face Antibacterial Cleansing Foam

This is a really good foam wash for those who suffer with acne breakouts, fab for teenage skin! It’s a lovely foaming formula that is gentle on your skin, it washes away impurities and balances the oil in your skin to help maintain a soft and healthy complexion. It also claims to maintain natural moisture in the skin, great for those with combination skin like me! It retails at £7.99 and to be honest, it’s worth the buy.

SPECTRUM | C06 Tulip Eye Contour Brush

This is the third Spectrum brush I’ve received from Birchbox now and I’ve got to say, I’m in love. The tapered synthetic brush bristles are super duper soft and fluffy – perfect for blending out eyeshadow and adding depth to the crease of your eyes. Not only is is as soft as a bunny’s butt and seriously beautiful (I love the white marble collection), but it is completely animal-friendly! I will 100% be swapping out my Urban Decay shadow brush for this baby.

So that’s it for March! Definitely loving this box and all the products inside, I can’t get over the quality of the products in this months subscription, I have loved everything and can’t believe I only pay £12.95 a month for all of these!
