April is upon us and the monthly Birchbox subscription has arrived! This month they have collaborated with the well known British brand, Cath Kidston to celebrate their 25th birthday for the cutest box ever! Look how adorable this rose design is!
Let’s have a looksy at what treats were delivered!
MODEL CO Baked Highlighter
With strobing so on trend right now, there’s no better way to jump on the band wagon than with a quick sweep of highlighter across your cheekbones. This month Birchbox included a ModelCo Baked Highlighter in every box and even let us pick our shade: Frose – a pearlescent pink and Moonshine – a beauty shimmering caramel. I went for moonshine and do not regret it! It’s almost like a dupe for MAC Soft and Gentle. I am a little disappointed in the size as I did assume this would be a full sized product (because they let us choose!). Anyway – a great way to add a little shimmer to this rainy April!
Beautaniq Beauty Fill + Tame Brow Gel
This fill and brow gel is a fab little number to tame and tidy up those brows and make sure they’re on fleek every day! I got this in the blonde shade due to me having ice blonde hair, however my hair is bleached to high heaven, unlike my dark brown eyebrows. The blonde shade is slightly too light for my brows but does a fab job of tidying those loose ends up. I don’t usually use a brow gel, but I do love this formula and it doesn’t leave my brows feeling tight or crispy.
Percy & Reed Hairspray
I absolutely love the Percy and Reed haircare brand, their hair oil is amazing! I’m a bit disappointed that I received their hairspray again, I’ve had this before and I honestly do not ever use hair spray. It does smell amazing and I hear great things, but unfortunately this isn’t for me.
Marcelle Skin Illuminating BB Cream
I always love receiving skin care and make up products and this little BB cream is so nice to use. It’s a beautiful alternative to foundation, as it’s nice and light and oil free. It feel so hydrating and calms skin well. It also claims to even skin tone, control shine, lightly mask imperfections, and, thanks to tiny flecks of light-reflecting pigments, infuse skin with a fresh-from the-yoga-studio radiance. I do prefer a full coverage foundation for every day wear, but I’m loving this for those days where you don’t really go out and about much.
It’s also a hypoallergenic, gluten-free, perfume-free, and oil-free formula – perfect for those with sensitive skin.
Cath Kidston Hand Cream
Finally, to tie in with the Cath Kidston collaboration, they have included a Birchbox Exclusive “Meadow Posy” hand cream inside every box. Featuring the same pretty Birthday Rose packaging as the April Birchbox, it’s the perfect size to pop in your handbag when you’re on the go. With hints of jasmine, orange flower and vanilla, this cream has an amazingly dreamy scent. It’s infused with vitamin E and Shea butter which is super nourishing and great at keep your hands and nails soft, supple and hydrated!
So that’s what I got! My favourite product is the BB cream this month, I think I’ll gain most use from this one. Unfortunately the hairspray is my least fave, but something I can definitely gift to a hairspray loving friend!
What did you get in your Birchbox this month? Did you love the collab with Cath Kidston?
See you next time ♡
