Hello lovelies,
Unless you have been living under a rock recently, I’m sure you’ll have seen the latest cleansing craze – micellar cleansing water. Today I am going to share with you my thoughts on one recently launched by Garnier.
First of all, if you’re thinking “ok, so what the hell is micellar water?!”, then don’t panic, it’s a fairly new trend and I had to do my fair share of research before purchasing. Basically Micellar water is made up of micelles, which are tiny balls of cleansing oil molecules that are suspended in soft water. The idea is that the little micelles are attracted to dirt and oil, so they are able to easily draw out impurities without drying out your skin.
To be very honest, I am not much of a fan of Garnier, but I saw this product in Primark not long back (check my haul here) and it definitely has to be the best I’ve tried from this brand so far. Like I said above, I’ve seen a lot of beauty bloggers and influencers posting about this recently and since it is so affordable, I decided to give it a try.
Micellar cleansing water is super quick and easy to use, whilst your usual cleansing routine can seem like a chore, micellar versions don’t even need water to work: great for on-the-go beauty lovers. It’s actually been said that they are better for your skin, as micellar cleansing waters have mostly been adapted for sensitive skin types, meaning that they have are made up with mild and non-irritating ingredients. It’s ultra gentle, enough to use over your eyes and lips, plus it’s completely perfume free – fab for sensitive or stressed out skin.
Even stubborn make-up is removed effortlessly! Just a few sweeps of a cotton pad and you’re done. I do recommend washing your face beforehand though, I don’t like to use this as a complete makeup remover, more as a night time cleanser once I’ve washed my face. It leaves my skin feeling soft, nourished and smooth, no redness or waiting for it to soak in either. I love that it moisturises my face whilst cleansing and clearing, I’ve used so many products in the past that have left my combination complexion a little on the red raw side. It’s nice to use something gentle and that actually works!
Overall, I do believe that I will be purchasing this again in the future, I’ve had no breakouts and my dry patches seem to be less noticeable now. Such a game changer and such good value for money, I brought my little travel sized 100ml for just 90p! I’m pretty sure full sized is only around £3.99.
Hope you found this review helpful! Have you tried out Garnier’s Micellar Water yet?

I have actually. My sister shares any products that’s good for the skin. I feel it give the skin a hydration while being able to clean. Although my skin is all types of weird I don’t use it as much.

I’ve tried this before and really liked how it made my skin feel. However, I already have my favourite makeup remover which ive been using for years. And i also use a cleaner after. I kind of don’t know how could I use it if not for those two things. As a toner, maybe before moisturizing? I might give it another try 🙂 btw. I looked through some of your posts and I gave you a follow xo

I use a makeup remover from Marcelle – the dark blue for waterproof makeup. It’s amazing and never irritates my eyes (the light blue version does) 😉
