I’ve seen a lot of these type of posts recently and thought what a cute get to know someone post it is! I hope you enjoy getting to know me a little better and I’d love to see your versions if you’ve already done a similar post or now want to do your own!
A is for Aldi
I love doing our weekly food shop at Aldi, when I first moved in with Myles he completely converted me. We visit every Sunday to grab our food for the week, its so cheap and such good quality! I love the middle isles too! I know most people read this thinking wtf? But seriously, little things make me happy and a full weeks food shop with added middle-isle extras for under £60, whats not to love?
B is for Bunnies and Books
Ok, they’ll be a lot of these where I cannot choose just the one thing. Firstly, lets talk about bunnies, I am obsessed with these at the moment. I actually had two lop eared rabbit as a child and always had a soft spot for them – despite freaking out when holding them!
Books – I love reading! I have always loved the way a book can completely transport you to a whole new world and you feel like you’re right in there with the characters. I’ve a big imagination, I can completely immerse myself into a story line and envisage living within the book. I have always been an escapist and I find that reading can relieve so much stress, it’s nice to step into someone else’s shoes for a while.
C is for Coffee
I’m a big coffee drinker, I love my coffee, I wake up and its my first thought! Now summertime is on the way I cannot wait for coffee shops to start doing my favourite skinny iced hazelnut latte!
D is for Disney
I have been a huge Disney fan since before I can remember, I can always remember making my dad watch Beauty and the Beast with me one hundred times over again and begging my mum to take me to the Disney store when we were shopping. I’ve been lucky enough to visit Walt Disney World Florida quite a few times and spent a lot of my holidays in Florida with the big mouse being in the background.
E is for Emma Bridgewater
I have become a huge fan of Emma Bridgewater pottery recently, I love the designs and whole feel of their products. If you follow my Instagram, you’ll probably see a few pieces pop up now and again. They’re based in Stoke on Trent, meaning its not all that far from home, I actually went to the factory seconds shop last week to seek for some discounted deals. Even though I came away empty handed, I did order a few firsts online and even managed to get some freebies sent!
F is for Family and Fish
Family is everything. I am very close to my mum and stepdad especially and spend a lot of my spare time visiting them and my grandparents. I am the eldest of five grandchildren on my mum’s side so watching my little cousins grow into young ladies has been amazing for me. We’re dead close, even with ten and twelve years between us! I’ve loved watching my little brothers grow up too, they were adopted when I was 19 and are 100% part of the family, living with my parents and watching them raise them both into the not-so-little tikes they are now has shown a good example to me on how to raise my own children one day.
Fish may sound a weird one – I have a little collection of betta fish that I am soooo in love with. They’re my pride and joy and one of my many passions. I have a whole female sorority tank and a separate tank for my male betta Herbie. Myles and I always refer to the sorority tank as ‘The Girls”, they’re so interactive, all have their own personalities and are absolutely stunning. If you wanna check them out, just see my “Fishtagram“.
G is for Gardening and Gin
I bloody love garden centres! There I said it! I caught the gardening bug from my Nona – who’s cottage garden is always blooming beautiful! I think my love for aesthetics and nature makes it easy to become a hobby for me. I love just having the time to be inside my own head for a while whilst making our garden a pretty place to enjoy.
I bloody love a gin and tonic, there is nothing better than a refreshing gin and tonic in the sunshine! In fact – a gin and tonic whilst gardening is pretty standard!
H is for Hair
I have been growing my hair for about four years now and it is just at my bottom set of ribs at the moment. My friends actually joke that I am planning on becoming the next Rapunzel! I do get asked occasionally if I’m wearing extensions because of the length and thickness, even after having around six inches cut off this year. As silly as it seems, I don’t feel like me without my blonde long hair and it has become a bit of a security blanket for me.
I is for Iron Man and Interior Design
This is the first thing that popped into my head when I thought of the letter I. However, I do love Marvel films and my ultimate favourite is Iron man! Who doesn’t want to drop their pants at the sight of Robert Downey Jr?! I just love the whole concept and story line, especially the romance between himself and Pepper Pots developing.
Oooh and interior design! I bloody love making our house feel like home with little bits and bobs everywhere. I love having a space to create your own and move about until it’s perfect. I have actually written a few blog posts on this subject.
J is for Joggers
As soon as I get home from work I put my skinny joggers on! I only wear them for chilling around the house in or nipping on the occasional McDonalds breakfast run! I’m all about comfort! Whoever said pain is fashion never popped a pair of these on!
K if for Keeping Up With The Kardashians
My guilty pleasure! I love keeping up to date with this family, watching the series is addictive and they’re all so funny. They’re all so different yet so close and I love that they have a tight-knit family. Kris Jenner is literally hilarious, I’m always using her memes!
L is for Love
I love being loved and showing and giving love. Honestly I’m just full of it, I’m just very picky on who I share it with. I love the love between Myles and I especially – we’re so in sync and know exactly how to make each other tick. I’ve never met anyone who is so alike to me either! Love makes my little world go ’round – Oh yeah, I’m a huge cheeseball!
M if for Myles
Like I said above – Love of my life!
N is for New Beginnings
I am very up and down when it comes to change, sometimes I love it and sometimes I panic a little. However, this year is all about new beginnings for me and evolving a whole new side of life to me – watch this space
O is for Overthinking
I am a typical over-thinker, it literally stops me from sleeping! I plan and think things through thoroughly before getting into anything, some say this is boring and yes I can be spontaneous, but generally – I like a plan!
P is for Peach and Plants
Anyone that knows me knows I’m a sucker for anything to do with peaches! I love my peach iced teas, peach juices, peach scented tangle teaser, peach scented eyeshadow palette, Myles’s peachy butt… the list goes on!
I have numerous plants in and around our house, I love aloe veras and crassula plants the most for indoors, I also have pretty yucca in the living room called Yasmin – yes they have names! Does anyone else name their plants? Yesterday I brought a beauty little bay tree for our front door, I love it!
Q is for Quirkiness
I love finding the quirks in people, I find it makes someone feel much more real and interesting! I also love finding quirky things for the house that are a bit different and out of the norm. For example – we have a wooden Pinocchio in our hallway and a silver lobster in a dome in our downstairs loo.
R is for Romance
I am a huge hopeless romantic, I cry at the slight romantic gesture. Seriously, the slightest thing will get me going. Last week Myles cooked dinner for me and I was welling up! For my birthday, he took me to Bakewell for the day. Before we set off he presented me with a padlock engraved with our names and the date we first kissed/started seeing each other to lock to the love-lock bridge there. I think I sobbed for a good hour about it! I’m usually the one to think up cute things like that, I’ve never been with someone that does romantic gestures like that for me – he knows how much something like that would mean to me!
S is for the Sunshine State
I spent a lot of my childhood and teen years visiting Florida – the Sunshine State of America. I used to go almost every year but I’ve not been in the last two years. However, this place will always feel like a second home to me, the lifestyle and constant sun is something I would kill for over here in the UK. I have a strong connection with this place and it is somewhere I would consider moving to all together. I absolutely love Orlando and the amazing shopping malls, outlets and of course Universal Studios, Disney World and Manny’s Chophouse! Anna Maria Island is absolutely stunning too, it’s soooo chill and laid back!
T is for Travelling
I crave travelling! There is something magical about visiting a whole new country, a whole new culture and set of traditions. One day I’d like to save up with Myles and go travelling around for a bit – hopefully with our own little family. There’s so many places we’ve talked about going to, but for now we’re looking forward to our holiday to Paphos later on in the year.
U is for Underwear
Every one has their favourite thing to shop for – mine is underwear! (along with coats and home accessories!). My favourite place to shop for underwear is Victoria’s Secret. Their bras are honestly something else! They’re legit like little clouds for your boobs, not at all stiff or uncomfortable.
V is for Videos
I love recording and watching back videos I’ve taken on my phone. I always try to take more videos than photos, as you can really relive that specific moment, I have so many of my little brothers growing up and the silly little things they used to say and do.
W is for Writing
As a blogger, it is no surprise that I love to write. I also love to write lists, notes and letters to my pen pals. One ambition of mine is to write, illustrate and publish a children’s or teen book. I come up with so many ideas but never have the confidence or time to go through with it.
X is for Xerothermic
Xerothermic means dry and hot – the kind of weather I love! It’s so annoying enjoying hot weather with humidity hair!
Y is for Yoghurt
Greek Yoghurt to be precise. I love a bowl of greek yoghurt, honey and berries for breakfast – it’s healthy, balanced and bloody lovely!
Z is for Zumba
I’ve recently got into zumba! I started going a few weeks ago to zumba classes and they’re so much fun. I mean they are hard work and my knees kill afterwards but I do enjoy going, especially because it doesn’t feel grueling like running on a treadmill for hours feels like.
I hope you enjoyed getting to know me a little better! If you’ve ever done an A-Z of yourself, leave a link – I’m super nosy and enjoy reading them!
