Hi, lovelies!
The other day, the lovely Emily from emilyburnsmua blog kindly nominated me for the 3 Days, 3 Quotes Challenge. I’ve never heard of this challenge before, so it was so nice to get nominated by Emily.
The Rules:
- Thank the person who nominated you
- Post a quote for three consecutive days (1 quote for each day)
- Share why this quote appeals so much to you
- Nominate 3 different bloggers for each day
I love reading books and stories, as I’ve said so many times before, reading is my escape from reality so many of my quotes come from my favourite novels. I love how quotes can mean so much to someone too, yet mean something different to another. As a child I loved to read Roald Dahl’s books, even now, they’re so funny and quirky! So today’s quote is from his book The Witches.
It doesn’t matter who you are or what you look like, so long as somebody loves you.
I love this. Love is such powerful force, and to me, it is necessary to feel whole.
The boy in the book says this when he is turned into a mouse. He is implying that his self- identity is a less powerful motivator than love, and emphasising the power of love overall.
I think we can all agree that when love is strong, we often forget somebody’s flaws and they become sort of endearing. Something that makes them who they are and something you end up loving them even more for.
I nominate these lovely bloggers, their name is linked to their latest blog post so they are notified:
I’d love to know if this quote means anything to you too!
See you next time,
Love Charlie x
