3 Days, 3 Quotes Challenge: Day 2

Morning lovelies,

As you may have seen in yesterday’s post, Emily from emilyburnsmua blog kindly nominated me for the 3 Days, 3 Quotes Challenge. Yesterday I did my first day with a quote from a book.

The Rules:

  • Thank the person who nominated you
  • Post a quote for three consecutive days (1 quote for each day)
  • Share why this quote appeals so much to you
  • Nominate 3 different bloggers for each day

Today’s quote comes from history, and in particular Mr William Shakespeare.

Myles and I went to Stratford Upon Avon not too long ago and spent the day going around Shakespeare’s houses and gardens, etc. I posted a photo of Myles in his birthplace house garden with this quote as the caption.

I would not wish any companion in the world but you.

I love love love this, that much that we actually have this quote framed above our bed! It’s just a super sweet endearing quote that I have just loved since the day we visited Stratford.

It actually comes from the play – The Tempest. Whilst the play isn’t about romance, the quote is and there really isn’t any better companion for me than Myles! ❤️

There’s something about Shakespeare’s love quotes that I can’t quite describe. It’s strange to think in those days, love was so open and romance was so real. I often think of the past as sort of love-less, with so many people marrying for status, it’s often hard to believe that true love and romance did exist.

Maybe it’s just me? Who knows! But I’m a big fan of William’s love quotes that’s for sure!

I nominate these lovely bloggers, their name is linked to their latest blog post so they are notified:

Hannah

Cat

Anna & Sam

I’d love to know if this quote means anything to you too!

See you next time,

Love Charlie x
