One of the reason’s I love autumn is the huge array of pumpkin spice products that come back into our stores. I’m a huge sucker for anything pumpkin spice; whether it’s lattes, body scrubs, candles, you name it – I’ll buy it. I truly love the smell and have no shame being a “typical white girl” about it.
Burt’s Bees is well known for their 100% natural products, especially their ultra moisturising, beeswax lip balms. I recently learned that they releasedl e flavour in the USA. That’s when I knew there and then that had have it
After frantically searching the internet, I found my little gem and treated myself, how could I not?
Especially as this time of year, I feel like I’m constantly working to try to keep my lips hydrated with the drier, cooler weather. Not to mention my pregnancy hormones draining my skin of moisture! Burt’s Bees is one of few brands that actually keep my lips soft, all thanks to the beeswax and coconut oil that they’re made from. They’re also formulated without parabens, phthalates, petrolatum or SLS which are all known to be drying.
The actual pumpkin spice flavour doesn’t smell too strong, but is a nice creamy vanilla pumpkin sort of scent. I like that you can smell the spice without it being overpowering at all. It’s fab too as it doesn’t feel greasy at all and doesn’t have one of those funny tastes if you accidentally lick your lips. It just generally feels like a great, nourishing lip balm, just as good as the other Burt’s Bees I’ve tried.
My other favourites include Pomegranate, Honey and Coconut and Pear. There doesn’t seem to be as much variety here in England, which is so disappointing as I really want to try Chai Tea, Ginger Spice and Mint Cocoa! I’d also love to try their tinted lip balms in the future, all that hydration with a splash of colour.
Overall, I’m absolutely loving the pumpkin spice balm and it will be a fave in my collection for a long time!
