Hey lovelies,
So as you can guess from the title, I am now fully into my third trimester of pregnancy! I have definitely found myself slowing down a lot more these last few weeks. My body feels like it’s on energy saving mode, as every little task becomes one mighty chore and I’m out of breath just walking waddling up the stairs!
My mind has been quite busy lately trying to get organised for Christmas, my baby shower and our little bundle arriving; so it can all get a bit much but obviously I’m still feeling very blessed. My anxiety seems to have heightened during pregnancy, which I have acknowledged and am just trying to go through the motions with, without going into complete meltdown mode. I am very forgetful at this stage, Myles often laughs at me because it’s pretty shocking how quickly I can forget things!
I’ve not really had many cravings during my pregnancy, but I do seem to prefer saltier foods now and am currently living off buttery toasted bagels and Rennies – I have acid all the damn time, which is horrendous! Apparently this means I’m going to have a baby with lots of hair, at this rate I’m pretty sure I’ll be nursing a gorilla!
I am pleased to report that my belly button has remained an innie and there is no brown line down my tummy. As I know you were all so interested to know that, but I’m pretty thrilled! Although I wish someone had stopped my 16 year old self from getting my belly button pierced – it ruins every bump photo!
I’ve finished work now, a little earlier than expected due to health reasons, but I finally feel like I am starting to settle a little. Although, I do feel like I’m really behind with the whole nesting thing!
The nursery is almost done, but we just need a few major finishing touches and to find homes for all the new and exciting things we’ve brought. I’ve washed and made up little Oliver’s cot today, so here’s a little sneak peak of the nursery – I will be doing a full nursery decor post once it’s all finished, so keep your eyes open for that.
I really need to focus on packing my hospital bag now and getting everything organised ready for little mans arrival. A actually have a list as long as my arm of things to do, but I’m trying not to put pressure on myself, as stress is not good for either of us!
That’s all for this update, how did you find your last trimester?
Thanks for reading,
Love Charlie x
