You may be aware that I haven’t been very active on here since mid December…
Obviously in December, I was in my eighth month of pregnancy and by week 31, I was beginning to struggle a lot with tiredness and what I thought was pain in my ribs from my baby pushing upwards. I lost all motivation to write and spent the majority of the days with my mum, my nan or cooped up in the house on my own preparing for our baby to arrive.
On Tuesday 15th January, at 37 weeks and 4 days pregnant, I woke up in the early hours of the morning to my waters breaking. Our little boy was born at 10.22am that day!
It’s now day 10 since his birth and I honestly can’t explain how happy I am. Our perfect little sausage had a bit of a dramatic entrance to the world and came out weighing a tiny 6lbs 14oz – way smaller than we expected! Today we’ve both been discharged from midwife care and both Oliver and I are healthy and doing just fine.
There’s so many things I want to write about – including my birth story! I bloody love reading those. And of course, posts that I already started writing before Christmas that I want to publish.
I can’t wait to share more with you guys! For now, here’s a tonne of pictures of our perfect little creation taken by two very proud, very emotional and very grateful parents.
Thanks for reading this little update, see you soon!
