Hello honey buns,
I think it’s pretty fair to say that it’s officially spring time here in the U.K.
March is here already and is possibly one of my favourite months of the year, mainly because it’s my birthday month. I turn 25 on the 10th March, which is kinda scary! A quarter of a century already, where does the time go? I’m pretty sure it was my 18th not long ago.
Throughout March, there are also the first signs of spring which is always so nice to see after a long dark winter. The days start to get longer and brighter, baby lambs, bunnies and ducklings seem to surround the countryside and all of my favourite flowers are blooming. Anyway, here are my goals for this month:
Get On Top Of Blog Posts
Having a newborn takes up a lot of time, however I have got more used to living off minimal sleep and have been organising my blog a little. I’ve preplanned my blog content for March and I’ve started writing them up already. Hopefully, this will help me to be on top of my blog content this month and post more frequently than I have been doing so far this year.
Stay In Touch With Other Mums
A lot of my friends are also new mums or have babies under a year old. It’s so nice to go out and catch up with them, talk mum talk and give each other parenting tips and tricks. Not only that but for my own sanity I need girl time with people other than my family members. I love that our babies will all grow up together too, I can’t wait for toddler play dates, they’re always fun! Now the weather has picked up too, there’s more chance to go out on pram walks, which is exactly what I did with Becca and baby Sofia last week!
Enjoy My Birthday
As I said above, it’s my birthday on the 10th March. I generally don’t like big plans for my birthday, so I’m hoping to enjoy it relaxing with my family. I’m glad it’s a Sunday this year as it means Myles is off work and we can chill together.
Take More Videos
Since having Ollie, I am vowing to take more videos rather than photographs. I love watching home videos of our family and I think it’s so nice to be able to show him one day what he was like as a baby. I love watching videos back and being able to hear voices and see what fun we’ve been having.
Organise Our Kitchen
Such an adult goal. But our kitchen cupboards are full to the brim and half the stuff we’ve got, we’ve literally not used in years. I also love a good spring clean, it really makes me feel like I’ve got my life together. I just love having time to clear and sort, clean and organise. Plus, I’ve got a couple of new Zoflora ‘flavours’ to try!
Do More Walking
Not as a get fit thing, but as more of a mood booster. I love getting outside in the great outdoors for a walk around somewhere pretty. Myles and I often go for walks around our local National Trust grounds and gardens and we love taking Ollie with us. There’s something nice about wandering around and finding new places with a baby strapped to your front. The fresh air does us all good and puts us all in a better frame of mind.
What are your March goals? Any similar to mine?
See you in the next post!
