Hey lovelies,
As most already know, the U.K. is on lock down and self isolation means we have to stay at home, only leaving to go food shopping and one daily walk or jog. For those who know me, I hate staying in! So here’s what I’ve been up to for a whole week at home.
Sensory Play With Ollie
Ollie is just like his mumma in that he loves to be out and about! It’s not often we stay at home for more than one day in a row, so trying to keep him occupied and stimulated on lock down has been pretty difficult. I have been coming up with new games and activities so that he doesn’t get bored, don’t worry I’ll be writing a post soon for baby/toddler sensory ideas!

Joe Wicks P.E. Workouts
Myles and I have been working out together nearly every day by following Joe Wicks P.E. on YouTube. Also known as The Body Coach, Joe has been doing high intensity work outs live every Monday to Friday to get the world up on their feet. It may be aimed at kids but take my word for it, it’s intense! After the first two days I couldn’t walk, sit, stand or bend properly without feeling my muscles pinch. It’s something we’re hoping to continue to do even once the lock down is lifted as it’s a great way to keep fit and energise yourself for the rest of the day.
Writing A Daily Plan
Every evening, I’ve been writing a daily plan for the following day. It’s something I’ve done so we have our daily jobs and activities to keep us occupied rather than slobbing about. It’s a great way to give yourself a sense of achievement and keep yourself in some sort of routine.

Finishing Odd Jobs Around The House
Myles and I have been doing odd bits and bobs around the house that we’ve been meaning to do for ages. Myles washed the cars and pressure washed the patios clean and I’ve cleaned our mattress, de-spidered and washed the patio doors and kept on top of our huge pile of clothes washing. Among other things of course! It’s great that we’re finally getting things done before we move house, I’m sure the new owner will appreciate all of our hard work.
Cleaning
Obviously cleaning would come into this, although most areas don’t stay clean for long when we’re all at home every day. Deep cleaning the bathroom always gives me a great satisfied feeling, I love going for a bath the day it’s been done knowing that it’s glistening and grime free! I’ve got the microwave and the oven to do next, although I’m trying to space everything out to make sure I don’t run out of things to do.
Baking
I’ve always loved baking and trying new recipes. Luckily, I always keep basic baking ingredients in at home so I’ve been able to make a few cakes so far, yesterday we’ve made broccoli and cheese muffins!
Self Care
There are many things you can do to look after yourself, I’ve been really getting into my skincare routine this week. It’s a fab way to use up all my half open products, meaning I can go shopping for new bits once this lock down is all over with.
What have you been up to at home?
Thanks for reading,

i deep cleaned my house too during the outbreak. I dont often spend that much time at home but now that we stayed in the house for so long, deep cleaning is one of the best activities to do.
i hope to do some baking like you too.

I can’t stop cleaning! With us all at home, it seems to get messy twice as quickly 🙈
Have fun baking!! 😃
