I’m honestly not very good at remembering to moisturise every day, as someone with dry skin and eczema, it’s a bad habit to have! I’ve been making a conscious effort to remember to moisturise every morning and every night before bed. Just in time too, as MooGoo have very kindly gifted me their Soothing MSM Moisturiser!
I’d never heard of MooGoo before, so initially I presumed it was something to do with cows! After getting to know the company, I found out that they actually make a fab range of natural products made for skin, hair, dental and babies. Many products are created for those with skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis in mind, as well as those who are health conscious and care about what they are putting on their skin.
As I mentioned above, I was very kindly sent some of their Soothing MSM Moisturiser to try. I’ve been using it for just over a week now and I’m honestly loving it so far. It comes in a 120g at £12.00 per tube or 200g for £16.00, which in my opinion is fairly priced. I’ve definitely tried worse products for a lot more money!
I love moisturisers that come in a tube, so I was thrilled when it arrived. The flip top cap makes it simple to apply, as well as being easy to store and to travel with. It’s perfect for popping in your bag and using when you’re on the go. The overall design is lovely actually. I really like the simple look, with the bright green grass and peach colouring. It portrays a nice clean, calming, family feel about it, really capturing that it is suitable for both adults and children.
This particular moisturiser contains some pretty amazing ingredients making it wonderfully natural and vegan friendly. It’s fully free from parraffins, parabens and phenoxyethanol as well as being cruelty free.
Containing comfort root extract, aloe vera, honey and the main one, MSM (organic sulphur) – a fabulous natural compound that works to sooth the skin and return it to a healthy condition. Each ingredient selected to soothe troubled skin and use on your face and body.
All this goodness helps to promote healing of scars and blemishes, soothe sunburn and calm symptoms of psoriasis and eczema. I’ve actually noticed that a lot of eczema from my face has already almost disappeared, it’s no longer red and irritated and seems to be slowly disappearing. I’ve also started to used this on my 16 month old after his bath and have noticed his eczema looks a lot less inflamed after just three uses.
I love that it also contains sweet almond oil and raw coconut oil which are both well known for helping to nourish your skin back to health. I actually look out for products containing sweet almond oil as it really helps to promote smooth, youthful, blemish-free skin by boosting collagen production and keeping it hydrated and supple. Plus, it gives the product a beautiful sweet nutty scent which I absolutely can’t get enough of! The Soothing MSM Moisturiser smells absolutely wonderful and not overpowering like some other brands I’ve come across.
The lightweight formula sinks super quickly into the skin, there’s nothing worse than feeling sticky! It’s a lovely smooth consistency that blends in instantly and feels soft to the touch. It’s a surprisingly great base for foundation too, I haven’t found any problems with foundation slip or oily patches.
Overall, I’m really impressed with this moisturiser as a whole. It’s actually the only product I’ve tested that I am completely satisfied with, I can’t find a single fault! I would 100% recommend this to anyone that battles with sensitive or troublesome skin like mine. I love that Ollie and I can both use it too, I’m trying to go down the minimalist route, so less products clogging up the little storage we have is an instant win for me.
I can’t wait to try some of their other products, I’ve already got my eye on the protein shot leave-in hair conditioner and natural brightening skin cream, as well as the 2 in 1 bubbly wash for Ollie’s bath time. Thanks again to MooGoo for gifting me a wonderful product that I will 100% be repurchasing!
Disclaimer: all opinions are my own, I genuinely love the product and have not been asked by MooGoo or anyone else to falsely review this product. If I didn’t like something – you’d know about it!
